Holy Week Schedule
Saturday, April 12th
Divine Liturgy for the Raising of Lazarus—10am

Vigil for Palm Sunday and the Blessing of Palms—4pm (We will bless the palms for Palm Sunday today.)
Palm Sunday, April 13th
Divine Liturgy at 10am
(Christ’s triumphal Entry into Jerusalem where he will be crucified.)
Monday, April 14th
Bridegroom Matins—6:30pm (This powerful service remembers the planning of Christ’s betrayal by the priests and scribes of the Law, and Christ’s calling out of their hypocrisy.)
Tuesday, April 15th
Bridegroom Matins—6:30pm (This beautiful service remembers the repentance of the Harlot who anointed Christ’s feet with her precious myrrh and tears, in contrast to Judas who plans to betray Christ as one of his chosen disciples.)
Wednesday, April 16th
Bridegroom Matins with Holy Unction—6:30pm (Here, we soberly remember Christ’s betrayal at the Last Supper, and will be anointed with sacramental holy oil following Matins.)
Great and Holy Thursday, April 17th
Vesperal Liturgy—The Mystical Supper—10am (Here, we participate in Christ’s Last Supper with his disciples.)
Matins
The 12 Passion Gospels—6:30pm (The high point of Holy Week, where we participate in the death of our Lord.)
Great and Holy Friday, April 18th
Vespers—The Burial of Christ—4pm (Here, we take Christ’s corpse off the Cross for burial in the tomb in the center of the church.)
(Lenten pot-luck following Vespers)

Matins—Christ’s Decent in Hades—6:30pm (Here, we celebrate the true Sabbath of our Lord before his tomb and his conquering of Hades—the place of the dead.)
Great and Holy Saturday, April 19th
Vesperal Liturgy—with the 15 “Paschal” Scripture Readings—9:30am
(The blessing of wine, bread, nuts, and dried fruits will follow with fellowship. This is a “paschal” celebration, where we change the colors in our church from purple to white and read the 15 Scripture readings—a joyous day!)

Saturday Night to Sunday
The Feast of Feasts—Pascha!—Nocturn, Matins, and Divine Liturgy—11:00pm
(The Paschal procession, and the blessing of baskets and the breaking of the Fast following services.)
Sunday of Holy Pascha, April 20th
Paschal Vespers at St. Gregory’s—2pm (this service is extremely short and a good opportunity to bring non-Orthodox friends and family to “come and see”)
